Mark Gremler

Mark Gremler is one of Iowa’s best known and respected financial planners. As a multi-million dollar producer, Mark not only maintains a thriving practice, but is compelled to give back to the industry through coaching and mentoring other financial professionals.

He is founder and CEO of three companies: Gremler Financial Group, Billion Dollar Mentoring, and Clark Street Printing & Design. The three firms coexist and support each other to expand Mark’s influence throughout the industry.

Mark has amassed almost two decades of experience in financial planning on his way to becoming a leader in the financial services profession. He and his staff of over 25 serve nearly 2,000 clients and oversee almost $400 million in assets at their offices in historic Balmoral Castle in Des Moines, Iowa. His primary client profile is pre-retirees, retirees and professionals.

Conducting group presentations is one of Mark’s biggest strengths and is a prime reason for his success in building his clientele. Mark has designed a series of seminars focusing on seniors, Baby Boomers, and physicians. In addition, Mark has also lectured for many top producer forums at national conferences for insurance and financial planners. Mark’s ability to develop relationships with CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals has helped him to promote and grow his business. He has strategically aligned his business with top insurance carriers and a leading investment firm. As a result, Mark is an authority who shows other producers how to do the same.

His expertise and demonstrated ability to build successful businesses has brought Mark acclaim from his peers as well as requests for his services in training other financial professionals. He has been asked by one of the world’s largest insurance and financial services companies to train their top agents and brokers on how to better serve their clients and run a more successful business.

Mentoring is another way that Mark helps financial professionals grow their businesses. A former radio host, Mark has mentored some of the nation’s top producers in how to develop their business and expand their influence.

He also gives back to his profession. Mark served for several years as head chairperson of the field practices committee of the Des Moines Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, one of Iowa’s largest professional financial organizations. The work of this committee is to ensure ethical behavior by financial professionals.

Of all his accomplishments, Mark’s greatest source of pride is his family. He and his wife, Beth, have three children: Madison, Aaron, and Haley.

Clark Buss
Clark Buss is our Marketing Director for Billion Dollar Mentoring. His focus is to ensure producers continually receive the highest level of service, value and support through the program. “Our #1 job is to help producers reach a higher level of success through Billion Dollar Mentoring. We strive every day to offer value-added support as well as timely and relevant sales ideas and tools that enhance marketing efforts”.

Clark is an Iowa native. He graduated from the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, with a BBA in Marketing in 1990. Clark has spent his entire career in the financial services field, specializing in retirement plan marketing, business development and key account management. He holds both Series 6 and FLMI designations.

Andrew Jensen
Andrew Jensen is a Sales Coach and Vice President of Advanced Markets Team at Billion Dollar Mentoring. His duties include marketing assistance, keeping our members informed on laws, rules and regulations in the insurance industry, product updates and a wide degree of technical support. With extensive knowledge in product development and design, Andrew is able to analyze your most advanced cases and work through the best solutions for your client needs.

Andrew has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Upper Iowa University. He began his career in the insurance industry with a major insurance company where he worked in both the client services and marketing departments. He is also a licensed insurance agent for the state of Iowa.

Becky Lacy
Becky Lacy, Executive Assistant to the CEO, has been with the company since 2000. She serves as the appointment setter for the financial advisors in the office. She is extremely effective at filling the advisors’ calendars with meaningful meetings. Becky also coordinates all educational programs and all public speaking engagements for Mr. Gremler.

Becky is a self-starter. She has the initiative and competitive drive to get things done. Becky attended Dowling High School in Des Moines.

Dana Dickson
Dana Dickson is the Graphic Design Manager at Clark Street Printing & Design in Des Moines, Iowa. Dana consults with clients and provides solutions to their marketing, design and printing needs. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Grand View University in Des Moines in 2009. She previously worked at one of the nation’s leading media and marketing companies. Dana is also a jewelry designer and a freelance makeup artist whose talents have been featured in a number of professional events both locally and in Chicago.
